Greetings Nobles and Families,

Hard to believe it, but school is almost back in and the fall months are upon us, shame the weather won't cooperate and cool off a bit.

Our Annual Obstacle Course event was held in Midland, Texas on August 6 - 9, 2009 at the Clarion Hotel and Convention Center.  Thank you to all who traveled near and far to come participate.  A special Thanks goes out to all of those who assisted us in making certain that all the bases were covered and that everyone who came had a good time.  Too many to list but you all know who you are.  I can't imagine trying to pull off an event of that magnitude without the help of an Association like TSMPA.

The kids that attended were treated to a goody bag upon arrival with lots of cool things to get them started.  On Friday, a "Cars" movie themed bounce house, carnival games, temporary biker tattoos and sand art activities were set up for the kids to enjoy while the bigger kids, aka Shriners, practiced on the course.  They all played hard and enjoyed getting to be inside on such a hot day.

The course was fast and hot at the Clarion and there was ample parking for all to gather around.  Everyone had a ball filling slots to make teams for those members who wanted to participate but didn't have enough riders.  Trophies were awarded for the fastest in each group, fastest individual as well as the slowest for the Slow Race participants.  I truly believe that the Shrine spirit of brotherhood, togetherness and fun were attained at this year's event.  It was wonderful to have so many units and temples jumping in to help one another make it a successful event.

Thanks again to everyone for a very successful year and I look forward to getting to visit with all of you again at our Mid-Winter event being held at the YO Ranch Resort in beautiful, Kerrville, Texas.

Keep an eye on the TSMPA website for photos and articles that have been uploaded.  You can also download the Mid-Winter Registration forms and flyers.

See you there!

Fraternally,
